Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PA BiH Kemal Ademović holds a meeting with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to BiH

The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH), Mr Kemal Ademović, held a meeting today with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Mr Walid Haggag.

During the talks, the traditionally good and friendly relations between the two countries were emphasised, with no outstanding bilateral issues. The interlocutors agreed that there is significant scope for enhancing cooperation, particularly in the fields of the economy, agriculture, industry, culture, education, and tourism.

The importance of intensifying contacts between the parliaments of the two countries was highlighted, especially through exchanges of high-level visits and the work of friendship groups, which, as noted, can provide strong impetus to overall bilateral relations.

Speaker Ademović underlined the potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the defence industry, agriculture, and energy sectors, and invited Egyptian investors to explore investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They also discussed the need to facilitate travel for citizens of both countries, which, it was assessed, would directly contribute to an increase in tourist numbers and closer links between the business communities.

Ambassador Haggag emphasised that Egypt strongly supports the stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as its path towards European integration. He expressed readiness to work on concrete projects that will bring the two countries closer together and strengthen economic ties.

Speaker Ademović wished Ambassador Haggag a successful mandate in Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed confidence that bilateral relations and cooperation would be further strengthened during his diplomatic engagement. (Press release from the Office of the Speaker of the House of Peoples, Kemal Ademović)
