Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kemal Ademović, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Ukraine to BiH

The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kemal Ademović, held a meeting today with the Ambassador of Ukraine to BiH, H.E. Volodymyr Bachynskyi.

The meeting confirmed the good and friendly bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine, based on mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Information was exchanged on the current political situation in BiH, as well as on the security and humanitarian situation in Ukraine caused by the Russian aggression against that country, with an emphasis on the need for the urgent establishment of a just and lasting peace. In this regard, Ambassador Bachynskyi thanked Bosnia and Herzegovina for its support and solidarity, and underlined the importance of continued international support for Ukraine.

They also discussed the Euro-Atlantic path of both countries, particularly in the context of strengthening cooperation in the area of European integration.

The possibilities of strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the BiH Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were also discussed, as well as deepening economic and cultural cooperation.

Both sides expressed their conviction during the meeting that constructive dialogue and cooperation will continue to develop in the interest of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine. (Statement from the Officeof the Speaker of the House of Peoples, Kemal Ademović)
