Members of the PA BiH Delegation to PA NATO held a meeting with the commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo

The Chair of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) to the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO (PSNATO), Kemal Ademović and the Deputy Chair of the Delegation, Marina Pendeš and Obren Petrović, held a meeting today with the Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Matthew A. Valas.
The Chair of the Delegation informed General Valas about the current activities of the Delegation in 2025, emphasizing the active and continuous participation in the work of PA NATO, and the contribution to strengthening cooperation with partners and supporting the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The importance of strengthening and more visible promotion of cooperation between the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo and the PA BiH Delegation was emphasized, with the aim of promoting the values and goals that NATO represents.
Brigadier General Valas expressed positive impressions about the engagement of the PA BiH Delegation within the framework of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, assessing that such activities contribute to strengthening cooperation and understanding between NATO and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He highlighted the challenges in the preparation and implementation of the Reform Program, and informed the members of the PA BiH Delegation that the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo continues close cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as all other relevant institutions in order to continue building efficient, professional and integrated armed forces that will serve all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this regard, he particularly emphasized the importance of open political dialogue and the joint work of all actors to preserve the security and prosperity of the country.
The members of the Delegation thanked General Valas for his dedication in supporting and preserving peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for the continuous cooperation and partnership with the members of the PA BiH Delegation to PA NATO and expressed the expectation that such cooperation will continue in the future.
